When the Olympic Torch was carried through Haverfordwest, flanked by hugely enthusiastic crowds, the second bearer of the magical flame was Rhys Eynon a member of Cleddau Warriors football club
Rhys carried the torch from outside Munts the Jewellers in High Street up to the Kings Arms, just past the library, and said"The atmosphere was electric and very emotional, like being a rock star at Wembley Stadium.

The Unsung Hero award, presented each year at the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame dinner, seeks to acknowledge the tireless efforts of one volunteer within Welsh Sport, and is awarded to someone who demonstrates a selfless passion and determination for their sport.
