Paralympic Torch Relay Event – Mochdre Lions Disability Football Club

Formed in 2007 Mochdre Lions DFC have developed into one of the most inclusive football clubs in Wales. The Lions train once a week during the football season and welcome players of any ability. Mochdre Lions’ inclusive approach towards football allows all players to come down and use
football as a way to have fun, make friends, work as a team and to develop skills that can not only be used on the pitch, but in all aspects of life.

The club is made up of two pan disability teams; Mochdre Lions Juniors and Mochdre Lions Seniors, and the newly formed Mochdre Dragons Deaf FC which is specifically for deaf or hard of hearing players.

Mochdre Lions DFC would run a fun football session for all club members to welcome the
Paralympic Flame.
