Section 3 - Coaching & Leadership
The aim of this section is to provide you with further information about coaching and leadership pathways available within Wales, as well as provide some sign posts relating to where you can go to find out further information regarding sport and / or disability; what coach job descriptions might comprise of; and what the expectations of individual’s qualification levels for the occupation of different coaching or leadership positions within the club should be. This section will be divided into 4 further sub-sections:
1. Coaching and Leadership Pathways
2. Support and Development Pathways
3. Roles and Responsibilities of Club staff / volunteers
4. Useful Templates and Additional Resources
Each section is intended to provide you with further information and support in the pursuit of your volunteering or paid work for Disability Sport Wales, and the clubs that you are involved with. In this section you will also keep records of your Coaches’ coaching certificates, coach insurance certificates and relevant job descriptions. The resources associated with this section include contact databases for sporting National Governing Bodies (NGB) and Disability Sport Development departments for respective local authorities.
