Voluntary Vacancies
It is a massive voluntary project that will be ongoing over the next 12 months – so if you are an enthusiastic person with a keen interest to be involved in this amazing project - DSPY are looking for you! You would be able to develop your skill/experience and gain an understanding of the development of DSPY2012 Awards night. These would need to be filled to start on Monday 9th January 2012. Get in touch with us ASAP. Those roles below are available!
Treasurer & Ticketmaster:- Responsible for all aspects of finance for Deaf Sports Personality of the Year 2012 and this responsibility ranges from preparation to financial control through our bank account for the DSPY2012 project. To co-ordinate and report to the Project Organisers and Media Officer to promote and sell tickets online for DSPY2012 Awards Night.
Media Officer:- Ideally to have highly tuned communication skills, media management experience also a good working knowledge of media law for DSPY2012 project. You have to build a creative team to expand as a Media Team i.e. Photographer, Stage Manager etc. Report to the Project Organisers, Treasurer and Remark!
Sponsorships Officer:- To be responsible to find any sponsorships for the awards category and for inclusion in the programme, which would assist in reducing the costs per head per project. Report to the Project Organisers and Treasurer.
Entertainment Officer:- Research a suitable "sports" entertainment for use during the Awards night with the responsibility to organise the entertainment during the DSPY2012 Awards Night. Liaising with Head of Media and Technical Manager at Ricoh Arena.
Interpreter Coordinator/BSL Monitor & MC Presenters Selector:- To make sure all essential matters concerning interpreting services are addressed. Requires experience in coordinating interpreters during deaf events in the past. To create an inventory of the technical equipment needed for interpreting at the event's venue. BSL Monitoring for the DSPY's website and all pre-recorded filming. This role would be able to provide input as to who should be the MC's during DSPY2012 Awards Night. To report to the Project Organisers.
