Pembrokeshire Schools Disability Swimming Gala

On Wednesday 19th January Sport Pembrokeshire in partnership with the Federation of Disability Sport Wales (FDSW) held a schools swimming gala at Fishguard Leisure Centre, sponsored by Stena Line. Over 50 pupils competed in 27 races. Chris Davies coach at the Pembrokeshire Puffins swimming club and representing Swim Wales came to identify any talented swimmers. Race times of the competitors were recorded and will be forwarded to FDSW, any pupils identified reaching qualifying times will be invited to represent Pembrokeshire at the regional disability gala in Swansea. All competitors were presented with medals by Fishguard town Mayor Councillor Bob Wheatley. Certificates were presented to Beckie Hayes, Eilish John, Robert Codd, Rhian Homer and Angharad Reed GCSE Physical Education pupils from Ysgol Bro Gwaun, for their time keeping duties and Rhys Eynon, David O’Leary and James Swain from Pembrokeshire College for the recording duties.
