Dynamic Rock was set up in August 2004 with the aim of developing a dedicated indoor climbing centre in Swansea, South Wales, UK. We spent 2 years developing our plans and searching for a building, until we finally found what we were looking for.
We haven’t set out to build Europe’s, Britain's or even Wales’s "biggest" indoor wall, but what we have set out to do is provide a much needed, accessible, friendly centre for climbers from all walks of life.
We have done a number of sessions for learning difficulties and some other special needs (Autistic spectrum groups) and a couple of less mobile people with Cerebral Palsy etc and recently we had a couple of visits from a visually impaired group. We have full body harnesses for those that need a bit of extra support.
We are two local climbers who have gained finance and invaluable support from family, friends and members of the climbing community. Without their continued support, Swansea’s indoor climbing centre would still be just a dream.
