Caerwent Indoor Athletic Club (C.I.A.C) was formed as part of a joint national initiative between FDSW's National Athletics Development Officer, Welsh Athletics and Disability Sport Wales.
The aim of the national development was to link a session specifically for children with disabilities to an established athletics Club in each of the 22 local authority.
Monmouthshire has no track and field athletics club or competitive track!!! So it was decided to start from scratch.
We opted for indoor athletics sessions in the south of Monmouthshire that 2 years on have now developed into bi-weekly termly sessions with mainly children with ASD attending. Mondays 4.45 - 5.45pm.
