The Voice Trail scheme enables people with visual impairment to enjoy the benefits of walking within the Snowdonia National Park and surrounding areas. The project has 40 VI members and is the result of a partnership between North Wales Society for the Blind, NW Guide Dog Association, Snowdonia National Park Authority, Gwynedd Council’s Disability Sport Development Officer, CCW and North Wales Wildlife Trust.
Monthly walks are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month where blind and partially sighted people are guided on various walks taking in the spectacular scenery through different eyes.
Staff & Volunteers from the National Park and the North Wales Wildlife Trust help bring the coutryside to life discussing the dramatic outline of the landscape, geological stories, wildlife, arctic alpine features, and local folklore.
