SUCCESSFUL SWIMMING GALA IN BRIDGEND

The first SEN school swimming gala took place in Pencoed swimming pool on Tuesday 15th July with swimmers from Ynysawdre, Porthcawl, Ysgol Bryn Castell, Brynteg, Bryntirion and Heronsbridge taking part. The event was in partnership with the Bridgend Swimming Development Officer and provided an excellent opportunity to direct swimmers towards the Bridgend Sharks club. Included in the gala was a round robin water polo competition. All competitiors were mixed into 4 teams (Sharks, Piranhas, Dolphins and Orcas) and after some very close competition the overall winners for both the water polo and gala were the piranhas.
