The river Dee rises above Bala lake and flows through some of the most spectacular scenery in the whole of the British Isles. The Dee is about 60 miles long and the Maelor Angling Association is situated on the famous middle beats of the river. The Association has access to six and a half miles of the river, all within 3 miles of Trevor. The river is fed by 4 headland reservoirs; Alwen 368 acres, Brenig 919 acres, Celyn 800 acres and Bala 1100 acres. The latter is the largest natural lake in Wales.
Disabled young people and adults are welcome to join our inclusive club in the Dee Valley. We currently have a number of accessible pegs, although are in the middle of developing our access to the water even further.
