UK School Games - Bath & Bristol 2008

Bristol and Bath is to host the third UK School Games in 2008 featuring some of the most talented sporting youngsters of school age from around the United Kingdom.
The showcase event will see young athletes compete in over eight different sports at venues across Bristol and Bath, from 28th to 31st August. Sports include athletics, badminton, fencing, gymnastics, judo, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.
In addition, an opening and closing ceremony and athletes’ village will give the competitors experience of a major multi-sport event as an integral part of their preparation for entering the world of elite sport.
The UK School Games will be supplemented by a series of community sport and cultural events taking place across the West of England throughout the summer.
