WISP Dance Club is for young people with a disability in the North East Wales area. They meet regularly each week in Mold, to enjoy and participate in dance and movement experiences. They also make and perform their own dance shows and share platforms of dance performances with other community groups.

Goals & Objectives:

* To inspire and extend each individuals' movement capabilities and creative strengths

* To perform locally in integrated performances when appropriate and encourage group commitment

* To provide an inclusive environment and to work with partners in education and social services, so that the level of support is adequate

* To encourage public awareness of Wisp Dance Club, and its benefits to young people with disabilities.

The Dance group is led by dance artists and tutors: Cher Mather & Uma O'Neill and receives support from social services, Flintshire education department, committed parents, Arts Council for Wales, FLVC,and local businesses. Consistent support for the members is crucial to the success of the group.

We Aim to:

* Build self-esteem, confidence and well-being through practical dance and movement experience

* Provide an outlet for creative self-expression

* Utilise the Arts' well documented therapeutic qualities

* Develop and extend each members' awareness and well-being

* Achieve the highest standard of dance possible.
