Gemmau Cymru
The first ever Gemmau Cymru were held in Cardiff an opportunity for the public to see for themselves how Welsh sport and Welsh athletes benefit from the 2012 Olympic Games legacy. Crymych Panther's James Pugh competed in the Boccia event and came home wiyth a bronze medal an excellent performance.
Jacob Takes on the World
Crymych Panther's Jacob Thomas has recently returned from Belfast where he was competing in the CPISRA Boccia World Cup. In the team event Jacob jioned Jess Hunter and Scott McCowan, the team finished 6th in the world. In the individual event Jacob topped his group with massive scores. In the last 16 he won 7-0 against Jari Rummukeinan (Finland). Unfortunately Jacob lost 1-4 to Han Soo Kim (Korea), Kim went on to win the bronze medal in a Korean 1-2-3. Jacob finished a remarkable 6th in his first major championships. He now has the world ranking needed for qualification at London 2012, the club are very proud of his achievements.
