The Boccia Blasters provide sessions for people who just want to play boccia for fun as well as those who wish to compete.
Sessions take place on Mondays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm weekly.
Boccia is a Paralympic sport and is similar to indoor bowls. Players try to get their boccia balls closer to the jack ball than the other player or team.
Players can roll, throw, or kick the ball. Assistive devices such as ramps and head attachments can also be used if players are unable to propel the ball sufficiently without them.
This club caters for adults and children who are wheelchair users and particularly those who have muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, and other similar disabilities.
