Cleddau Warriors Disability Football are now in their fourth season of football, providing the opportunity for boys and girls of all ages to enjoy kicking a ball around with their friends and having fun while learning the skills of the game. They meet on the third Sunday of the month at Haverfordwest leisure centre from 11.00 am - 12.30pm. Originally catering for age’s 6-18 years the Warriors have now widened their age range to include adults. The club now has over 30 members with an average of 20 training every month. Cleddau Warriors benefit from excellent coaching by Huw Bevan, Delwyn Lewis, Steve Brown, Tom Bevan, Rishard Bevan & Karen Bevan of Clarbeston Road FC.
Members of a Pembrokeshire football club will be strutting their stuff in a brand new kit shortly.The Cleddau Warriors, who play in the South West Wales Disability League, have been presented with new team hoodies by trade union, Unison.Liz Watkins, Vice Chair of the Pembrokeshire UNISION branch, presented the youngsters with their new kit at the weekend.The kit is based on a design created by the team’s goal keeper Rhys Eynon.The 19-year-old from Llandisslio is a student at Pembrokeshire College and one of the club’s 30-plus members.Angela Miles, Disability Sport development Officer fro Pembrokeshire County Council, said the team were very grateful for their new look."Cleddau Warriors will be traveling to Merthyr shortly to take part in the next round of the FAW disability football programme and are looking forward to arriving in their new kit," she said.
