Bridgend

Hi, my name is Huw Griffiths and I have taken up the post as the Disability Sport Wales Development Officer for Bridgend.

I have been involved in sports development for 4 years and within disability sport for 2 years of that. My background has covered being a participant, volunteer and a coach.

Previous to this position, I held a post in London working as an Olympic PE Coordinator for the Borough of Tower Hamlets. This is one of the host boroughs for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. My role within this borough was to develop young athletes from across all the Olympic and Paralympic sports. This gave me a greater insight into the structure of Paralympic sport and furthered my already great desire to help develop disability sport.

Within Bridgend there are already a wide range of activites available, organised by clubs, volunteers etc, and it is my role to support their development and growth. If you have any questions or require any information then please do not hestitate in contacting me

I look forward to hearing from you
