My Name is Steve McGrath, I am the Disability Sport Wales development officer for Newport City Council. I am based in the Tennis & Swimming Centre at the Newport International Sports Village as part of the Sports Development Team.
I have been involved within disability sport for over 10 years, my current sports are wheelchair badminton and wheelchair basketball.
There are various sporting opportunities for people with disabilities available in Newport including athletics, badminton, football, swimming, tag rugby and tennis. In the next few months I will be looking to further develop opportunities for wheelchair sport within Newport.

New Dance Workshop
19/04/2010
A new weekly dance workshop for disabled children and young adults will be running in Newport from Monday 19th April. 2010. The workshop is open to anyone with a disability age 11 to 19 years and will run every Monday from 7-8pm at the Riverfront Theatre.
